Nu Carb Automated Carbonate Device

The Nu Instruments nu carb automated carbonate device, interfaced to the Nu Instruments PERSPECTIVE isotope ratio mass spectrometer will precisely determine δ13C and δ18O isotope ratios of small amounts (15-150μg) of calcium carbonate.

The nu carb is a bench-top carbonate device contained within a custom built oven maintained at a user defined temperature typically 70°C. Carbonate samples contained in 50 open top individual vials are reacted sequentially with a controlled amount of added phosphoric acid.
